Elle remplace la fontaine des Chevaux Marins d\u00e9truite en 1780 pour cr\u00e9er une voie d&rsquo;acc\u00e8s vers l&rsquo;ext\u00e9rieur de la ville. Au sommet, trois statuts; vers le Cours Mirabeau, la Justice sculpt\u00e9e par l&rsquo;Aixois Joseph Marius Ramus (1805-1888), vers Marseille, l&rsquo;Agriculture sculpt\u00e9e par Louis-F\u00e9lix Chabaud (1824-1902), sculpteur de Venelles et vers Avignon, les Beaux Arts sculpt\u00e9e pas Hippolyte Ferrat (1822-1882). D\u00e9cor de Truph\u00e9me (Lions, dauphins chevauch\u00e9s par des anges, cygnes). 32m de diam\u00e8tre, hauteur 12 m vasque en fonte.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Fontaine de la Rotonde enfin, situ\u00e9e au centre de la Place dans laquelle aboutit le Cours, se trouve plac\u00e9e au carrefour de diverses avenues. Aliment\u00e9e par les eaux du Verdon, elle fut \u00e9difi\u00e9e en 1860 sur les dessins de M. de Tournadre, ing\u00e9nieur des ponts et chauss\u00e9es. Un vaste bassin circulaire de trente deux m\u00e8tres de diam\u00e8tre est d\u00e9cor\u00e9 de lions, de cygnes et de dauphins chevauch\u00e9s par des anges.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px; text-align: left;\">Au centre un pi\u00e9destal supporte une vasque de fonte sur laquelle on reconnait les statues de la Justice (sculpt\u00e9e par Ramus) tourn\u00e9e vers le Cours Mirabeau, du Commerce et de l&rsquo;Agriculture (sculpt\u00e9e par Chabaud) tourn\u00e9e vers la route de Marseille, et des Arts (sculpt\u00e9e par Ferrat) tourn\u00e9e vers la route d&rsquo;Avignon. La hauteur totale de l&rsquo;\u00e9difice est d&rsquo;environ 12 m\u00e8tres.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_5115\" style=\"width: 2058px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a
